She shows at Horton in Chelsea, and I think she's one of the most interesting younger painters out there. I'm always struck by the balance she achieves between structure and improvisation, and the beautiful surfaces she gets with such a direct process. The paintings buzz with ecstatic energy that is both primal and playful.
